I have a 03 ram quad cab hemi sweeeet!! with 20'' chrome wheels.
The problem is the road salt has pitted my wheels. Has anyone else had this problem.

Your wheels are the plastic 20"----right?
or the polished?

mine gets road salt all over the wheels. My polished 20's have no problems at all with them. Im thinking about getting a set of off road 17's with some nice tires for the winter though
oh, i also try to wash my truck at least once a week to prevent damage to my clear coat and wheels from the salt

I've had mine for over a year now,and I haven't had any problems at all. My advice would be, to go back to your dealer and have them make it right. Your wheels are covered under your warranty.

Strange the plastic could "pit" like that---others have reported pitted polished ones usually from salt or 4 wheeling, someone just dealt with it and his dealer merely waxed em to protect the clearcoat paint on the polished wheel...

My 20'' crome clad wheels are pitted on the outside edge that is clearcoat only. The salt ate thru the clearcoat and left black spots. My dealer is ordering me new wheels.I wonder if I should order polished instead of chrome clad?
