What do I need to look for and check out?

Not sure if this is where I should post this or not, but here it goes.

My wife and I are looking at trading her vehicle off. She was playing on the internet the other night and was looking at a couple of Nitro's. Of course we do not have much info on them since they are on the internet. They are 2007 models. I know that we will want 4x4 at least on them. I am not sure what all engine options there are. We are also going to look at a couple of 2nd gen Duragos.

So,what I am getting at here:

What things do we need to look for and have on them?

What kind of major or non-major problems do they have and what should we be worried about?

Is everyone happy with their Nitro?

And what kind of fuel mileage do they get? City and highway. She will mostly be driving around town. We will be taking some short road trips and all.

Any other information on them that you can think of that would be useful would be great.

Dont know much about them since I dont own one, and they are too new to pinpoint issues.

The 3.7 has been around for a while and is a decent engine. However you get the 42RE trans unless you get the sxt with the 6spd manual.

The RT has the newer 4.0 based off the 3.5. But it gets the 545RFE trans which is much better.

I would assume your probably looking at 16-18 mpg around town and 22-24 on highway.

Maybe some others who own them will chime in.

I may buy one of these down the road if I can get a 6spd manual
