Here's some pics of my install. It's out of the way but easily reachable and readable. I ran the wiring through the existing hole where the parking brake release was and it's nice and clean. It doesn't interfere at all with the parking brake release.

There's only been a couple times where I hit it with my knee jumping in the truck because I was in a hurry and it was a bad jump! <grin>

I wired mine to the factory quick connector that comes with the truck and the one that comes with the brake controller. I don't use mine often so I just put some velcro under where the steering wheel is and when I need it I connect it. When I don't use it. It goes under the back seat.

Wired into factory plug with connector. I made a bracket out of the normal one, just cut it in three piece and used the two sides to attach it to the inside of the cubby hole. It's a great place, it does make 4Low a little tight, but it still shifts in completely and stays, but there is no space left at all.

Here is where i put mine. I never hit it and I used to tow my Boat and now I tow my travel trailer. Boat looked way better behind the truck!!

That's the same place I have mine. It doesn't get in the way and I can get a hand on it right away in an emergency. Also I can see the display when I am dialing it in.

Same place here. Since I'm right handed it just feels better on the right side of the steering wheel.

I put mine on the left side too. I did a little modification and sunk the pocket mount into the dash panel. Not in the way but it is removable. I did also have to do a little modification to the park brake release rod. I have a similar set up in my 95 Dakota.

WOW, so apparently the Tekonsha Prodigy I bought is the Ram owner's choice. I haven't installed it yet, but I'm still deciding where I need to put it. Anyone wanna list (that used the factory plug in harness that comes with the truck and a Tekonsha of some sort) which wires connected to which? Thanks.

My Dodge given plug would be spliced as follows with my Prodigy. Blue goes to Blue. Black goes to White/Red. Red goes to Blue/White. White goes to Green/Black. 04 Hemi Sport Factory tow package.

I installed mine in the dash. I don't bump my knee on it and it's easily visible and accesable while going down the road.
