The power sliding doors on my '05 Grand Caravan SXT starting having problems about 100 miles AFTER the 36k mark. I've seen some other posts concerning this and wanted to share my solution. I purchased a Haynes manual and it said that the power doors have problems with the wires in the moving track fatiguing. I pulled mine out and found several breaks. My first time I just spliced them back together with some crimp fittings, but it's worth it to just buy a new track (those christmas tree fasteners suck!). If you're having problems with the door reversing itself, opening or closing only part way, etc. this is most likely the problem. Only takes about 20 min. to fix if you're mechanically enclined. The Dodge part numbers are as follows:
Driver Side: 4868121AE
Passenger: 4868122AE
Price: about $55 (ouch) depending on the stealership
No small wonder the new '08's have a new power door mechanism.
