For those that might have an interest, there is a 1979 Little Red Express truck on EBay with only 544 original miles...
It is in pristine condition. Not too many around like it.

That truck is nice but its not going to pull that kind of money.

I would consider that a new truck due to conditio and miles. I would rather drop 33k on that than on any new truck on the market.

That steering wheel looks like a GLHS wheel :)

That was the optional steering wheel for 1979.

I agree, that is a nice truck! $33k plus a reserve? He reference to Scottsdale auction of $50K plus sale. I don't think there be any takers on Ebay. The truck has a late date on the assembly line, no tuff wheel. I read the plant ran out of those wheels on the last LRE trucks. Also I hope he has keep the correct radio for it. He might be able to pull $40K.

I actually like that wheel better than the Tuff wheel.

That is FOR SURE a very clean example of a rare unrestored truck. It will be difficult to get that kind of money for it, BUT it's worth as much as some collector or rich guy with TOO MUCH $$$$ is willing to pay for it! :D In a perfect seller's world IF you had 2 or 3 of these type people who REALLY want the truck for whatever reason, and they start a bidding war the price of the truck then becomes a NON ISSUE! The auction turns into a "my wallet is thicker that your wallet" chest thumping exercise and THATS when the sale price of the vehicle skyrockets, and the ACTUAL value of the vehicle gets jacked up beyond what mortal regular folks can afford. As a seller thats what you DREAM of happening. I KNOW the same thing happenes on ebay all the time, just on a smaller scale. You could go to the seller's website and pay $30 for the item but you get caught up in the heat of the bidding battle and the next thing you know you just paid $50 for a $30 item, BUT you DEFEATED the other bidder in battle and that's all that mattered at the time!! I should know because I have been there, done that, got the item to prove it.... :rck: It felt GREAT at the time too. AH lessons learned :D
Sorry about the hijack,

My '75 came with the same wheel, except it has brushed spokes.

I made a mistake when I said the radio was not original to the low mileage LRE Truck. The system in his truck is a very rare electronic type. I was doing some other research and found the information about the sound system in his truck. Sorry about the comment about "hoping he still has the original radio". Please see the attached photo uploaded.

I have the earlier version of that radio in a cupboard at home some place. The one pictured above is the second generation of that style. I had the first gen in my 77 Dodge van.

Im not that fond of Barret Jackson myself, last year they were talking about how muscle cars were selling they talked about a couple of high dollar chebies and phords but when they got to the mopars they went on and on about how the E-bodies were goig to be the top sellers. When that guy said that everyone that had a Challenger or Cuda raised the price of their cars, it knocks us average joes out of the running when it comes to buying a decent Mopar muscle car, or truck.
