The redirector knobby thing on the hood of my wifes van popped off and I need to replace it so we can spray fluid onto the windows. It appears that the line has slid down into the cowling that covers the area so I need to remove the wiper arms to get at it.

Any idea how to do this. I removed the nut and gave em a wiggle without success. I didnt want to force anything until I had posted here first.

Any help would be great.

The wiper stud is grooved and tapered and so is the arm. The nut forces it onto it stud. You'll need a puller to get it off. You can use a battery terminal puller or a tie rod puller. As soon as you get a small amount of even pressure pressing on the tip of the stud and the bottom of the arm, it will pop right off. Mark the orientation of the arm before you pop it so you can get it back in the same place without repeat attempts.
