Hey guys, i've been strongly thinking about putting some lower profile tires on my Dak. I don't want rubberband tires. I want to keep my OE rims. I need to know what kind of brand to get and if there will be any affect on the computer. Thanks for any info! AP

You want to keep the same hieght tire as you have on there now. You change the height you will mess up the gear ratio as well as the speedo.
What size, brand and model tire you running now? What were you planing on going too? Where are you located?

Thanks, for the reply. I have the original goodyear tires that came with it. I don't want to change the gear ratio and the speedo. I live in Indiana, but I'm gonna have to do some more rethinking. I'm short on the cash, but after taxes my thinking might get better! I'll live with it now. Thanks!! AP

I have A 97 Dak it came with 215/75/15 it now has 30/9.50 15's didnt cange the speedometer at all the comp, couldnt tell ya

I know your short on $$$ but if you could, buy a Hypertech III programmer and use it to re calibrate your PCM for the new tread...just a thought.

A little off the subject, but if your changing tires or wheel size check www.chrismans.com and click on the calculator tab. Alot of good info about gear ratios and speedo cals
