Hi to everybody here!:)
I am fairly new to Dodgetalk and I just wanted to post a new thread about me. I have been a Mopar aficianado and lover since I could barely see over the steering wheel. My first Car was a 1974 Imperial Crown Coupe triple white beauty. It even had the ultra rare factory power sunroof, and REAL wire wheels. a special 440 that was done over and pepped up a bit by Sox & Martin racing. I have had more than a dozen old Mopars since my first and will always love 'em!
:rck:
Anyways, this post is about the last thing I did, a totally off the wall custom 400 big block in a 1978 Power Wagon. I bought it 7 years ago with only 52,000 miles on it. It is all numbers matching original except for the new Viper GTS Blue paint in 1998. I am only the third owner since new and it was always used as a leisure truck and not a work truck. I have done some very unorthodox, unknown procedures to components in the engine. I don't want to go into specific details because this thread would be probably the longest on DT! The things that I did to the motor I could patent them and have an edge over everybody else. It's alot like a chef's secret recipe. What I can tell you is that the motor puts out like no other! Dyno results I did came out with 483 Hp and 475 Ft. Lbs. The power & torque stayed very flat From 2800 all the way up to 6000 rpm. all that power with only .489 lift. Usually to get that kind of power you'd have to go over .500 lift. The dyno chief told me he'd never seen such big, flat numbers from a short stroke BB. My mopar buddies were all trying to get out of me what I did to the engine but i was reluctant to say:)
I have provided a link to the video I did of engine start and run so ya'all can at least hear what I'm boasting about. I am darn proud of my baby!
