Van ran fine when parked, next morning would start, then die
- hot or cold, same thing
- replaced fuel pump and fuel filter - no change
- fuel pressure test at rail is smack on @ 45-48psi
- ran light test on coil pack B+ circuit - lit one second on RUN and continuous on CRANK - cam and crank sensor OK
- removed MAP and checked for residue - none
- attempted start with MAP unplugged - no change
- fires immediately with no hesitation, no sputtering, immediately dies
- ASD works fine, have swapped with known good
- ASD seems to trip off once engine has stopped running - not before
- battery status is charged and clean - no problem cranking
- no codes returned on key dance other than BATTERY DISCONNECT and END OF CODE
- has been suggested that immobilizer mode may be set in PCM, BUT there is no mention of this option or mode in the shop manual
