I have an 02 CG Sport 3.3 and I got a load of bad gas yesterday and now the van won't start. Prior to trying to start I want to empty the fuel filter but I don't know where it is located. Can anyone help me with the location and any helpful advice

It should be under the van. Follow the fuel line from the tank. It should look something like this:
Thanks for the info bw03 I couldn't get under the van(too much snow & too cold) so I put in another 500ml of Methyl Hydrate to displace the water and plugged in the block heater for a few hrs. When I tried it again it started and , after a while of hiccuping, farting, and almost stopping it settled down and ran very smoothly. Noe however the check engine light is on so I guess I will have to go to the repair shop to have that checked out.

Go get some prestone water remover and put it in and fill the tank . If its running ok I would wait a few days it may go off by itself . You could see what codes are in the computer with the ignition key . Without starting , turn the key to the on position, then off , then on , then off then leave it on and watch the odometer readout and it will post computer codes if there are any . You can post them here and someone will tell you what they mean.

Thanks vipergg. Unfortunately I need the van for work so I had to take it to the shop where they removed and drained the tank, replaced the fuel filter and put in fresh gas. Unfortunately they also cleared the computer so I prob cannot get a reading now. However I will know what to do when the next problem arises.

ouch. That must have cost a pretty penny. It is not a bad idea to run some dry-gas in your fuel system periodically. Plus try to keep the tank at east half full throughout the winter months. Condensation builds up easier and faster in tanks that are run under half full.

XDGT03....Yup..set me back $325cdn, although I think I may have a shot at recovery from the gas station I used. I normally don't go below half a tank, mostly cause of the cost, and I had just filled it to the tune of $30. So it was a fairly expensive undertaking. Hopefully it won't happen again..Thanks for the advice
