I am looking to put a trailer hitch on my 2000 dodge grand caravan. i need to know what a good price would be for one. i tried to do the generic hitch, but the measurements were different( most were 35.5 inches caravan is 38 in). any help would be appreciated! :shoot:

Try etrailer or hitchfinder sites. I ordered a class II hitch and wire kit for my 2000 when we first bought it and I think it was under $125 with shipping. Really simple to install and I'd recommend the wiring kit. I think it has relays to protect your vehicle electrical system. I retrofitted a hitch for my 01 Caravan and have more than the $100 cost of the hitch in it if you consider labor and hunting for grade 8 bolts which, BTW, come with the custom hitches. I think mine is a Drawtite. The wire harness tees into the passenger brake light connector and I just coil the flat 4 pigtail into the jack compartment until needed. Hope this helps and good luck.

This ball mount (Rapid Hitch) (http://www.hitchsolutions.com/rapidhitch.html) is a little pricey, but is a beauty and will never rust.

As long as you're spending money on toys, take a look at this self latching trailer coupler (Quickbite coupler) (http://www.quickbitecouplers.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=browse&id=9733&pageid=29)
