I am toying with the idea of getting some of the Doug Thorley headers from Summit. They're a nice tri-y design that look very well made and should fit nicely without the clutter of most other brand's designs.

Question: my '87 318 has the smog heads, will the header flange cover the small holes under the ports for air injection (I don't run a smog pump), or will I be left with an exhaust leak(s). If they don't cover the holes is their another solution? If not practical then I'll just stick with the manifolds as they're trouble free.

Thanks

I don't think those cover those holes, most headers don't. You can tap them and install small set screws w/ Loctite to plug them.

Dude I've heard of people fixing corroded cyl heads w/ JB Weld lol. We were thinking of trying it on one of my buddy's old 2.2 head :)

Amazing stuff !
Friend of mine repaired an intake manifold on a 750 hp 427 that he raced in super gas. Still on there. :)
