I know that this is in the wrong place I just didn't know were to put it. My father ran across a 57 D-100 at our local tractor deallership the owner has it stowed away in the back of his shop. Dad was curious about it and ask him if he wanted to get rid of it and if so what would he have to have if it were for sale. The owner told him to make a offer. So I am now in a hunt to se ho these trucks sell.
I will offer up all of the info that I know about the truck and if someone has any knowledge of these trucks then please give me some feedback. The truck is gold dad said it looked to have had one repaint,no rust that he can see if we get serious about buying it we will check it with a magnet. It has one dent in in the bedside, interior is complete and nice, it is a V-8 truck although it is missing its engine (I'm unsure on the size of the motor that is supposed to be in it). It has the original style hubcaps, and the wood in the floor is just starting to rust so it will have to be replaced. If someone can throw in a ballpark figure on this truck I would appreciate it, dad is wanting to make a offer but he has no idea were to start.

Unless they are in mint condition, there's not much of a market for them. I would guess value is $1K or less.
I just searched ebay for "1957 dodge" 1956 and 1958 also. The only truck was neglected COE at $355. You might try searching over the net for info and pricing.
A couple of sites I found on a guick search

I'll give him $100 for it :) It's not an Adventurer by chance is it? With the car-style finned bedsides?

BTW the engine would have been a 260 or 280 some ci, called a Power Dome, I think maybe it was a Poly Head engine (not the A-series Poly though).

Must be that old style "Iron" wood. :thatfunny

Not many V8 trucks in them years so that would make it worth a little more.

He was told at first that it was a Adventurer, but upon arrival he found it to be a step side bed truck. He hasn't went back with a offer but he is goona offer 1K for it.

I'm sure that the wood in the bed isn't the original its probably been replaced recently as it has been painted.

I will tell dad about your suggestions. I don't think the seller will go for it he thinks hes setting on a gold mine the truck is nice and complete other than the motor and trans, but I know that don't make it valuable.

Well if it's nice, ie the seat's in good shape, gauges aren't cracked or fogged, floorboards are good, the bed's not rusty, etc, then it's probably worth 1k. But still, always start low, never know he might be like "No but 800 will buy it" :)
