I thought I read where the 2004 SRT-4 has an intercooler, but where is it? The salesman said that the hood intake scoop forces air onto the turbo. Is there an intercooler on this thing? I am looking at buying one (test drove one on saturday), but still holding out for a yellow one lost somewhere. Might have to be satisfied with red or blue, but can't decide between the two.

They don't make the yellow for 2004, very rare to have a yellow '04. The intercooler is behind the front bumper, looks like a radiator but it's only about 8" tall and about 2.5" thick. The black one is bad, yellow and red get a lot of attention. Good Luck. Oh yeah, chech out srtforums.com, there is a lot of info on there.

I am stupid, I knew the intercooler was up front. Brain fade. Anyway, I have a Yellow one lined up at one dealer, but I want to see if the dealer I want to buy from can get one. I will know which one I am buying tomorrow hopefully. Thought I was gonna have the dealer get it today, but I am still holding out for the 5 star dealer to find one. Tomorrow is it. If the 5 star dealer can't get it, I am not waiting around. 2004 Solar Yellow, here I come.

Does the 2004 yellow also have the Quaife LSD? I know all the other '04's do but I thought the yellow ones were like a left over from '03. I really want a LSD but I didn't know they were going to be available or I would have waited for '04. Have fun with your new car.

I know the 04's have LSD as a standard feature....make sure you are getting it in the yellow or else you are just getting a left over 03.

pretty sad how salesmen these days dont even know there own product.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the scoop on the SRT-4 is just for show and isnt even functional....like the SRT-10's hoods. I just feel the salesmen should know the product before trying to feed people a plate full of sh*t. My rant os over now. :D

I would like to retract my statement. I was just informed by a member of Dodgetalk that the SRT-4's hood scoop does ram air down the back side of the motor to help keep things cool under the hood. Sorry about my rant before.

I am picking up my car tomorrow, I am pretty sure I checked and the car had the Quaife LSD, but now I am not sure. I hope it does or I will be pissed.

well you corrected yourself on the srt4 hood, the srt10 hood that comes on the ram functions the same way, now the one that you can get "aftermarket" may not

hey guys
to answer some questions:
the srt-4 does have a front mount intercooler (location is behind the mesh in the front bumper ...looks like a radiator), has a quafe LSD (not an option).
The hood scoop is to force air into the turbo to cool it off externally...the front mount cools off air internally
yes they did make 04's in yellow but for a short period...pimp

I have a question: from what i was informed the 04's are basically 03's with a stage one upgrade, so what would the stage one upgrade do for an 04? anybody have any numbers?

its actually stage .5
04's come w/ stage 1 injectors but not the ecu
the stage 1 for the 04's is just an ecu which puts down around 240whp and 260 wtq
i never got it because stage 2 comes out april 1st and i have a down payment on one already ;)

They only made 128 Solar Yellow 2004's and I got one. Anyway you can check out srtforums.com for many answers to all your questions!
