Yes it is true the stratus has the same engine as the eclipse. When looking for the performance aprts just look for eclipse performance.

No it does not. The sedan does not share any parts from the eclipse. the stratus coupes are almost exactly the same as the eclipse except cosmetic pieces.

I'm not sure I understand, what do you mean by cosmetics? Are you saying that the block is the same but not the headers or the intake? Could I put a performace intake manifold on my 04' 2.4L, from an eclipse.

OOPS sorry about that. LB3711 is right the sedans are different. The coups have the same engine as the eclipse. By cosmetics I think he's talking about body wise. I'm pretty sure the engine is identical.

How does the 2.4 in the 04 SXT stratus sedan compare to the eclipse or is it only the coupe?

Well I just did my own research and the 2.4 in the 04 eclipse is SOHC 147 HP the 2.4 in my 04 SXT is DOHC 150 HP. So I guess my option of using the performance parts that will probably be made for the eclipse on my stratus (that nobody seems to make parts for) is shot unless somebody knows something I don't.

I have an idea... Get an R/T with the 3.0 and go nuts with it!

I have the 2.7L and I love it! Runs great! I've actually never drove a 3.0 Coupe, but I wouldn't mind. Maybe I should go to the dealership for a "just-for-fun" test drive.

"Cosmetic" applies to all rulings on evidence whether they occur at or before trial, including in limine rulings on subject-matter jurisdiction, and all rulings regarding negligence per se involving quasi in rem jurisdiction, subtype 2.

Please refer to the rulebook on page 4017. (federal rules of evidence)
