My wife has a 2002 Dodge Neon, and somehow yesterday both the speedo and tach needles have managed to wrap themselves backwards around their individual faceplates. They are both now sitting behind the needle stops, and when I start the car you can see the speedo needle trying to move forward. The needle stops are too high for the needles to have jumped over. They definatly moved counter-clockwise to get into the position they are in now.

Any thoughts?

EDIT - I figured out how to reset the needles, which I've done. They are now back in the correct position and functioning. i think the car needs a new battery, and that the needles may have spun up and over when trying to start the car with the (almost) dead battery.

Cheers

glad you figured it out. i was going to suggest rolling the car...that would return the needles back to their original position! lol! just kidding!
