I've rolled against an srt-4 while I was in albuquerque. they are extremely quick. It was a rolling start onto the interstate and he couldn't pull ahead of me. We went up to about 90mph and I dropped off the throttle and gave the guy a nice thumbs up. My truck is not slow either. ;)

my buddy's got an evo8 and since i got my srt-4 hes wanted to race.. we went out this past weekend and settled it. From a stop he rocked me..obviously all-wheel drive vs. front-wheel lsd no contest but i was able to catch up. then we roled from 30mph and i pulled away....same from 60mph and 80mph.. needless to say that hes pissed......

Want to race some guys in my club once I make it to a meet. Buddy of mine with a heavily modded WRX just blew some piston rings and is re-doing his car. Will have to wait a while for him. Going to a club meet on Saturday, we'll see.

Took it to the track and the first race was against a new Mustang Mach 1 . I ran a 14.36 at 100.4 mph and he walked away from me doing a 13.1 at 106.3

I raced a stock 2002 M3 with the SMG. 0-80 and I got him off the line and he never got past my rear door. We chatted for a few minutes afterwards, then he gave me his M3 keychain. I like little trophies. :D

Have'nt raced mine yet, but when I walked in to pay for my gas last night 3 punks said "nice car, is it broke in yet?". You know they wanted some of my SRT 4, but if they wanna race me they're gonna have to pay their $15.00 to do it at the track. I'm not losing my liscence, it's a long walk to work.

My buddy hasnt raced his yet but we went for a little drive this past weekend after he install a MP BOV and man was that car fast!
Thats the only mod he has is a BOV. That car screams through the rpms! I love when the boost kicks in and you get pushed back in the seat. That car is easilly running a 13.5@104mph. Thats my guess. The owner is a member here.....Dcmuss. He hasnt posted much but he was at our central NJ meet.
I am sure once he installs his Stage II PCM he will be posting more often.
I got to say DC did an awesome job with keeping the price down and making one sweet car when they released the SRT-4!

I raced an SRT-4 a couple weeks ago in my Neon (just wanted to see one go) and I got him off the line but that was it, he pulled away like I was a fat kid on a bike

Took my 04 out to the track on street night (no track prep) to get some baseline numbers. My best was a 14.007 @ 99. I really wanted to get a 13 out of it stock but the track wouldnt take any kind of launch above 1500 rpms. Most regulars were complaining that they were 3-4 tenths off their regular times. Oh well-my stage2 kit is due in tomorrow!!

thats awesome man....99mph is definitely enough speed for a 13.8 or so. Good luck and thanks for the info!

Hey Scott, nice truck! Just checked out the page.
A friend of mine let me take her SRT-4 for a spin...that was not a good thing....now I want one! Damn that thing is quick! And boy can it handle! I was seriously impressed with the work that DC put into the car. It is the best the Neon will ever get and they should be following that little success statement!

there was a video clip on www.srt4forums.com of a stock SRT-4 whomping on a stock EVO8. There raced from standstill, in which the Evo pulled ahead, but after like 4 seconds the SRT-4 passed him quick. Then a rolling start at 30 I think, the SRT-4 owned him. Then, starting at 65 the driver of the SRT-4 downshifted, the boost came on full and he hit 85 within like 9 seconds. The Evo was about 5 garbage trucks back.
Once i get my SRT-4 this weekend I'm racing my buddies 2001 Pontiac Firebird with the Ram Air LS1 V-8, Hurst 6-speed. It's stock expect for a sound system- no performance mods. I know he's gonna own me, but I wana see just how close it is considering he paid over 33 grand for his car and I walked out the door paying only $20,800 for my SRT-4 with the Mopar Stage 1.

I am still getting mine broken in, but next season I will be taking it to the track for some Bracket racing. Street racing is to costly when you have a cdl and drive truck for a living.

i ran a 13.8@101 stock. haven't been to the track much this season since i've done any major mods. last time i was there had some serious problems and was only able to pull a 13.8@104. going back next sunday looking for 12's....

No thanks I cant stand that place anymore. Too much money, too long of a wait between runs and limited number of runs. I go to Atco and Cecil.....both cheaper, unlimited runs, and alot less crowded.
There is gunna be a large group of Dakota R/Ts going down to Cecil County Dragway on Nov. 20th if your interested.

thanks, but that's a bit far for me. i go to atco every once in a while to see the psi-fi and other philly guys, but that's rare. it's about 2.5 hours for me to get down there. cecil is just entirely too far to drive.
we used to go to westhampton before they closed it, so now all that's left is etown. i don't really love it there either, and only went for the mustang events really. but now i don't really have a choice....

I've run a 14.034@99.74 at the track. But this was at a elevation of over 3000', so that hurts the time a bit, and I only had Stage 1 at the time. I raced a WS6, and while he was pulling on my at the end, I crossed the line 1st, so I guess that means I won. His trap was 103, but only ran a 14.2. Our 60's were almost identical, so he probably screwed up the launch a bit. I've raced a couple other srt-4's, and lets just say that red is the fasted colour.

Welcome to Dodgetalk!
Let me guess....your 60' was something like a....2.3??? With 99mph in the 1/4 you should be well into the 13's. I would venture a guess of 13.6@99mph with ideal weather conditions, sea level and a nice solid launch....awesome job!
I still say the SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck when it comes to the sport compact market. Their are SRT-4's out there with $1000 in mods turning 12's in the 1/4 mile....pretty sweet for the price!

Maybe I'll pick up a used SRT-4 in a few years for a daily commuter.

I'm thinking of one now as my commuter. I am driving over 100miles a day and the ole' R/T is getting a crap load of miles on it and using about $70- $75 a week in gas.
Time for a fun lil commuter! :rck:

60' was 2.244. At higher elevations cars do make less power, not so much with turbo's, but it still effects them nonetheless. I'm sure if I was at sea level, I'd be in the high 13's. I'm also forced to use 91 gas, as until this past month, that's the best I could get. But this spring I'm hoping for mid 13's with my new mods.

Those SRT-4's are sweet. I tried to talk the better 1/2 into getting one as our lease is about up on the Intrepid but "their too small"....... (uggg). Now I am trying to talk her into the Magnum R/T.....<crossing fingers>
I wish I could get up to Cecil for a few runs....I could update my sig w/ low 14's ;-)

I raced an 04' gto the other day and got beat by about 4-5 car lengths from a dig ( 1/4 mile ). Then we turned around and raced from a 10mph roll in first and I got beat by about 2-3 car lengths. He was a friend of mine and we wanted to compare. I knew I was gonna get beat, but damn I didn't know it would be by that much.

Was that GTO stock? I know I raced one a while back('04) and it was dead even from 40-120.
