Ok guys and gals,
What mufflers have you tried with your 318 or 360's that you really like?
The flow master delta series? maybe the flowmaster 50 series? how about the reliable sound from Dynomax?what about Borla? could it be MagnaFlow?
I just want to hear what you like the best. single or dual doesnt matter.
thanks for the help.

I use this muffler it is a flowmaster daul inlet dual outlet. it works great since both of the exaust pipes have to run down the passenger side of the truck if dual exaust is used.

I just put a thrush fully welded muffler on my truck. I have a 92 w150 with the 318. It is a single 3" in, dual 2.5" out chambered muffler. I also have a catco high flow cat, shorties and magnaflow 3.5"d x 18" long tips.
This muffler has the same tone as the flowmasters and magnaflows but runs about 30 bucks. When not hammering on it it is decently quiet but if you want to be noticed it will provide you with that too. I was told that flowmasters patent had run out on the 40 series so now thrush and force and others are using it. That would explain why they just came out with the 44 series...
Overall i would definately buy this muffler again.

I really like the new Cherry Bombs. Especially the race one.(read loud). It sounds wicked nasty! Whatever you decide please dont use straight pipes for that white trash shivy sound! :D :rck: (Thats what most of em use around these here parts)

to answer your question i just put a dynomax bullet muffler on my 85 W150 longbed with a 318 2 barrel, its running 2 into 1 stock exhaust up until the cat (which i believe is made for a 4 cylinder, go figure) so right after the cat i welded the dynomax bullet right up and ran a turnout in front of the right rear tire. the truck is resonably quiet at idle and up to 2000 rpms and quite louder after that, but if you really smash on it, its pretty damn loud! Iam much more satisfied with the dynomax and im pretty sure that a flowmaster would have been too quiet. If your looking for cheap the dynomax is the way to go $50 for straight through performance! so if your looking for a good sound for a reasonable price Dynomax is the way to go! :rck: and good luck on your project
