I have a 95 Neon SOHC and I have a massive oil leak.. Around 1 quart a minute when running.. now i have it in the garage.. exhaust and intake manifold removed.. camshaft sprocket removed.. but i've hit a snag. There are three large bolts on the timing belt cover.. which are too large to remove.. (not enough space between timing belt cover and car body). Wondering if anyone has run into this problem before and if so.. how the hell.. aside from dropping the engine for lower bolts.. and raising the engine like a foot for the top bolt.. how the hell can u remove the timing belt cover?? Please Help!!!

Thats what I had to do. I put a jack underneath the engine and jacked it up as far as i needed to get them out.

He's right. Those are engine mount bolts, and it is better to raise the engine than to lower it.
