so my check engine light is on and my car is throwing the code P 0234. i just put a wastegate on the other day and im pretty sure the reason its saying that is because i'm boosting too much but i just want to make sure thats what it is. and the way to fix it would be lower the boost on my wastegate?

The way I fixed that to keep my car from throwing that code. I just remove the redline off of the cold side upp pipe and cap it. It should stop throwin that overboost code.

elchico.... we've been through this. :P
dont think i have to say anything but....... WTF does that mean? lol
oh and now when i get on the throttle hard about half way through 4th it just stops. just so you know this next sentence sounds like im retarded. i think its that thing that when you overboost it stops sending fuel to the engine. not sure though but it like throws me forward.
and also, how bad it overboost on your car?

Look for a red vaccum line that leads to the Cold Side pipe on the driver side that is attached to the intercooler and Throttle Body. Remove that red line from the Pipe and Cap both the line and Pipe. I had the same problem when my red line was attached to a constant boost source. After I removed the line, the car ran perfectly.
How bad is my overboost? I don't understand the question. Since the Turbo is pretty big it takes a lil to hit peak boost. But my 3rd gear is killer.

You have entirely too much shit listed in your signature.

oh elchico that not how i ment it. sorry i was little vague.
how bad is overboost on an engine. not necessarily your's
Yup that's the line. The sensor or ECU thinks your making more boost then it should so it will toss a code every time you go over the stock boost. To prevent that, just bypass the sensor i.e. red line, to keep that code from popping up. How it affects the engine is beyond me. I'm sure it affects performance in some way but then again maybe not.
Pyrokid-Lol! Yeah, I know. But at least if anyone has any questions about the parts I have, I could probably answer. Besides I like lookin' at that list, it shows how far I've gone since I've bought the car. BTW I just added another, the 30/30 Boost gauge, lol! I should be getting a S4 Clutchmasters clutch in a week and the 3.0 MAP and TIP sensors, all I would have left to do is the Axles and Water/Meth Injection. And off I go for another tune, I'm hoping to just hit 400 whp. Then it'll just sit for a while untill I save up for the engine rebuild, mounts and traction bar. I'm just gonna try to get as much HP as possible and still be a daily driver...well...not daily...but you know what I mean "turn key." lol!

Buy some vacuum caps and cap the line and the nipple to where the line was attached. To keep from vacuum leak from the line and the pipe. Just plug the line and whole. lol!
