The two pieces that you have in the picture that you are asking what they are are supposed to go behind the bolt with the hole in it on the cam wear plate. Oil drips out of the hole in the bolt onto this piece and it makes the oil travel onto the timing chain.
The two metal pieces go in the upper left bolt hole but, it doesn't have to use a bolt with a hole in it. I guess that chrysler had three ways of lubricating the timing chain (ie bolt with hole in it,slinger, and the method that is used on your block. In the link that I last give you if you read the page above where it shows the cam bolts it tells about the drip rail that you have.

You only use one or the other. Speed Dragon said he liked the metal gasket, I prefere the paper gasket if it is Fel-Pro. I am sorry for giving you the run around on the cam bolts it has been a couple of days since I built a small block I could just remember that there was something that oiled the timing chain. I guess that you can look at it this way it brought attention to te drip rail so now you know what it is.

Every intake leak I've seen has been w/ the paper. Granted, they've usually been 15-20 yr old gaskets too.
