I have a 85 dodge 350 ram with a 360 and the ignition died while idleing the other day. I replaced the resistor block, distributor, control module, amplifier?, and coil but still dont have any spark. Can someone tell me what to look for and where to test it? Thanx!!!

Do you have the Spark Control computer on the fender or air cleaner...AKA Lean Burn or ESC and other names or is it the conventional electronic ignition that most all of us are use to. The ESC can be a ruddy pain! Get back to us.

ECU look like this? Arrow points to grounding spot thru the case.

Yes, I replaced that 3rd. Its not a lean burn motor, but that is on the firewall by the steering colum... I even checked the wires that go to the distributor and they look fine. I had this happen 7 years ago and the box by the distributor was the culprit! I need to fix this and drive it for a while then, Im gonna put a 500 Caddy motor in it and run a 12 volt wire to the HEI and never have this crap happen again! Thanx Lar

Check to see if there is a 8 or 6 terminal connector behind the passenger side valve cover...these do fatigue with heat, as I recal this supplies power to either the distributor or the coil...Im at work and don't have my books to look at.
