Well, got my Neon back from getting the timing belt, water pump, etc replaced along with a tune up. Car runs great except I am driving home today and I cannot get cold air out of the dash. The temp knob is all the way to cold and the air is slightly warm. It was 50 degrees outside and I was going 70 so I knew something was up. I turned it to AC and it kicks on but still no cold air.
What could have possibly happened to cause this? What could have been touched in the timing belt/water pump repair that would make this happen.
Under the hood the only that I noticed was odd was a black grounding wire on the left side of the engine was wrapped over the top of the wiper fluid hose instead of under it.
I am going to swing it by tomorrow but does anyone know what causes this to happen.
Thanks in advance everyone!!!

The mechanic screwed something up!

I did fix the rubber strip that fits along the top of the hood to keep the engine heat out of the intake vents. That seems to have helped with the outside air, however I have to retract from my prior post about the AC.
When I was driving around tonight, the AC did not kick on at all. So somehow the AC is now not working the condenser won't come on. Fuses all look fine.
Any ideas? I want to be somewhat knowledgeable when I drop by the shop again tomorrow.
Thanks

Don't automatically jump to blaming the mechanic. Ask him/her about it, sure, but don't point fingers without proof. Your A/C problem could be completely unrelated and just happen to occure after you got the car back from the shop. This world has enough morons who easily blame someone else for their problems, looking for a free handout. You do not need to add yourself to that list.

Riceeater, you're definitely right. The place I go to is very reputable and like I said earlier, the car runs about as good as it did when I bought it with 9,000 miles on it. We should not jump to conclusions.
After some more research, I have a hunch I have low freon levels and it is probably coincidental. If it is a compressor of a problem of that sort, I do have an extended warranty and I am prepared to use it.
Just irks me as this is more time out of another day.

They might have dissconnected the wires going to the AC compressor. Check it out. They didnt remove any compressor lines and not refill wil refrigerant, did they??

Crappy. While I don't have to deal with people on a day to day constant basis anymore, I still lose faith in humanity with each passing day.
Electrical connections would be a good idea to check and easy to do. The AC compressor does need to be removed to access the water pump if I'm thinking right, however I dont think they would've had to discharge the system of remove any refrigerant lines... they shouldve been able to push the compressor far enough out of the way to avoid doing so.

Great news....
Got the Neon back. An AC compressor hose slightly disconnected when they were putting things back together and that did it. I was so happy about the fact that it wasn't anything more.
I can get back to enjoying my car again....it is running awesome.
Thanks to all
