like they said, unless it has low mileage, go for at least 800
my 82 had almost 200,000 and I got it for 650

Now... to get the money...Hehe, well welcome to S6 world (hopefully :D ). They're actually really easy to work on. I have an '80 S6 4-spd SWB truck, I think it needs a head gasket though.
