it just quit running while i was driving, had lights, radio, starter would not turn, jumped across relay , starter would turn, but no way with key, replaced starter relay, no luck, can the ignition switch cause this?, had it off an jumped wire from 1 plug to other an starter would turn, any one have any ideas?........thanx

I once had an ignition switch that was bad and I believe I had the same problems you are having. Maybe others will chime in and comfirm that is your problem.

I've had a bad ignition switch, although it didn't have s no-start issue. It was burning fusible links. When I pulled it out, the electrical contacts were burnt, and the plastic housing, was melted.

my vcan does this randomly but only when the battery is real low or its running hot and the starter needed to cool, replaced battery and it hasn't screwed up so far
