i have a 99 gc 3.8 when shifting to reverse i hear a kinda weird noise sounds kinda like soilanoide kicking in dont hear this when going to neutral hear it again going to drive . now when driving i hear this noise coming to a stop.is their a problem i dont know dodges at all

its completely normal
The TCM in these vans cycle the shift solenoids at different high speeds to control shift firmness/smoothness. I think this applies to just about every 4-speed tranny that dodge ever made. the loudest i have heard were the jeep libertys.
The newer 4-speed trannys have something changed to make them quieter. wether its quieter solenoids or some type of sound insulation
