rims and tires

i am going to get 18X8 rims with 225/40/18 and i would like to know if i could get them and it will not touch if i lower it

touch on wat? lower it with wat? it all matters... if u lower it with coilover struts, lowering springs, or that cheap ass coilover sleeve crap... coilover struts well it wont rub on nething but the fender in which u could raise it up to needed lvl and it wont have spring mounts like a lowering spring will if the tire is to wide and if it is to low it could rub on the fender. i know 18X7.5 wont rub for sure and i have 17X8's on my but i have coilover struts ... so i dont htink they will rub.
