I have resently gotten me a 19 ft Metra, the front end is a Sportsman, the Home is made by 'Mobile Traveler, Inc. out of Junction City, Kansas. Does any one else out there have same?

Yeah man, I got this awsome old motor home and am enjoyin it to the Max! Haven't been out on the highways yet as she needed a tad of TLC. But not to worry, my Land Yatch shall be out there soon!
I posted a couple-a shots of 'Shep' in the Galleries section if-n ya wanna see it!
I was a commercial fisherman fer thirty yrs and now I got me this Land Vessl! I got it tuned up and ready to Rock on!
Hopre to see if there is any more of em out there. On the title its called a Metra. Was told it may be an only one, who knows, as I aint seen another one yet(at 19 feet) seen a 24, but was slightly different.

The rear part looks very similar to "Balboa" (no relation to Rocky!). This was another manufacturer of RV bodies back in the day. I know a guy who has a Balboa RV built on a Dodge A-100 van chassis.
So I see you were a commercial fisherman/shrimper. My dad is in the same business still. Been doing it since the 60's. He lives down in Wilmington, NC.

I mostly Shrimped in the Gulf of Mexico, out of CC Texas. But I fished from Florida to Maine and Hawaii to Dutch Harbor. Now I'll float around an check out land fer awhile. Don't have a Home port er tie-downs. I got this ride fairly self-contained, kinda small but do-able. Been through the whole enchillada checkin fer issue's, had a few but not bad.
My work station (iMac) has turned out to really be Cool in here. it's wireless so I can tap into the net at any library er get a cup a Joe at starbucks and just tap in. My phone system is skype, thats threw the mac also. Got a year of unlimited minutes fer 29.95! Can call phones er Yack to buds on the net. Very small foot-print fer an entertainment system! Plus I just got elgato eyeTV 250 and thats sort-a like Tevo, can record, rewind puase, ect Telivision threw cable or the few analog stations out therer.
I'm lookin at verisions usb broadband Gizmo that lets ya get broadband any where a cell phone works. That would top my system off for sure. Just aint sure I wanna go there also its 60 bucks a month, Mayhaps I'll do er down the road.
But fer now I'm gettin everything tied down so's I can head back to the Gulf of Mexico, got to many free sea-food connections down there. And I don't BUY Fish!!!

Yeah my dad mainly shrimps out of South Carolina nowadays or from Snead's Ferry, NC.
He used to shrimp out of Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, etc. in the Gulf.
Heck, you two may have crossed paths at some point. His boat back in the 80's was "Kingfisher" and his name is Buddy Breece.

Over the yrs, my main deal in life was commercial fishin, but as life doles it out, we adapt== So I've done lots-a junk and paintin is one a the better ones I like!
I got marine paint to do the job, gal. og white. then the blue I got a qt, an got to thinkin I may need some black, so I got that as well.
It turned out good for what I needed, which is/was a blank canvas. I intend to fill the white area with Natical stuff Or covered wagon scenery, which ever, it'll be fun.
The really Cool stuff is on the inside though. And the main deal is My iMac! I got it as it has all the Zoom I'll ever need, it has built in wireless so when ever I stop fer a cup a Joe at starbucks, I can fire up the generater and go on-line/ or phone anyone. I got skype fer that, spent the 30 bucks a yr fer un-limited mins. Can call any phone or just skype my Partna's computer to puter.
Have Photoshop CS2 to play with all the flicks I'm takin. writting up fishin stories, all that stuff saved fer when we retire! Right?
Plus got me lots-a places to check out now that I'm finally stuck on land.
