98 Caravan / Voyager Charge Light

Charge light comes on. Batt. & Alt. tested OK at local parts store.
Just got a V-Checker OBDII scan tool shows no DCT's . but dose get a "coom error" when the Batt. light comes on
Does anyone know if this thing has a Battery Temp. sensor? Where is it ? what does it look like? Should it send a DCT.
