I have a 78 B350 with a 318 and 727. Changed motor mounts a while back and may have messsed up some tranny control or vacuum(?). Motor runs and revs fine but when I put it in gear it acts like is loses power and sputters and has not even enough power to move it very far.
Are is there any vacuum lines involved in the trans. as I might have crimped a line when I jackd up the motor to reinstall the new motor mounts.
Any theories on this issue?

No vacuum controls on that transmission. Check to make sure the transmission cooler lines haven't been crimped shut.

Crimped lines are a good suggestion to look at first. If that doesn't do it, you might have a lockup circuit in that tranny, and if so one of the wires might have gotten pinched and is shorting to ground causing the lockup to engage. If yours has the lockup feature, try disconnecting the plug from the tranny and see if the problem goes away.

Not to be a butt, but 78 shouldn't have any electronic components at all...it's a total hydraulic unit.

I was thinking maybe a cable or linkage that got disturbed and is no longer in correct adjustment, but that's just a wild guess.
