Hi; I have 130,000 on it with no problems. It runs as quiet as a church mouse, and runs smoothe as silk, I change the oil every 4,000 miles with Kendal 10-40 and use STP oil treatment, have used that great stuff for 40 years. Anyway, the waterpump went, leaking anitfreeze out of the weephole on the side of the motor. Took it to a local shop, not a dealer, who said they could fix it, no problem. Tells me the timing chain looks great, and no sludge anywhere. Pick the car up today, There is a loud clacking noise coming from the top of the motor, and the engine does not run as smoothe as it used to. He is trying to tell me it is lower end noise, I said bullshit. This car has never had a single rod knock at startup even after an oil change unitl the oil pressure builds up. The noise is definately from the top. Does he have one of the cams slipped a tooth or two, and has it done any damage to the motor, like a bent valve, bent rod, or a hole in the top of the piston. I know it's a zero clearence engine, so I'm worried. If he does find its a misaligned cam, and fixes it, how much damage could it have done, and how much could it have shortened the life of the engine. Thanks for yout time. Seeya Don
