Hello everyone! I am hoping that someone can help me out here, because the shop that had my car all day today could not figure out the problem. My brake pedal is very lose, I can stop the car but barely. The shop said that that my right front and rear left brakes are not working, my left front and right rear are working properly, this happened all of a sudden without any warning. The shop has bled the system, checked for codes and they are telling me that the master cylinders are fine! Does anyone know what the heck is going on with this? please let me know. Thanks. Ryan

I would get out the prints on the system, there has to be some connection with the two brakes that are not working, Antilock system, proportioning valve, something that is common to the right front and rear left, it has to be a common cause. Plus , what do you actually mean when you say the brake pedal is "lose"..... does it go all the way down? does it feel spongy? Does it feel mechanically lose, like lose at the pivot point under the dash?

thanks for the reply, yes the pedal does go pretty much down to the floor, I am able to stop the car but its only using 1 front and 1 rear brake. Now the preportinate valve? someone said that it is able to be reset, do you know if this is true? Lots of things have started going wrong with this car over the past week, now I have a major shutter when I excelerate. I had the lower ball joints replaced on thursday thinking that is the problem but it it wasent. They needed to be replaced but I was pretty agrevated that it didnt fix it. Thankyou for your help, Ryan

Did you take it to the Dodge dealer, I know you pay thru the nose , but they have seen it all and you usually come away with a fix. The shudder could be axels or motor mounts.
