to start off this is kinda hard to explain but here goes.

i was driving around today in bumper to bumper traffic in 103 degree weather. i was stopped at a stop light and i listen to my engine. instead of a solid sound coming from the exhaust it was kinda like i was reving it very very little every second and letting out. it was weird. i got it home and let it sit for a while. i started it back up and it doesn't seem to making the sound anymore but i was just wondering if it was something i needed to look into.

Nothing seems to be wrong with the performance of the car or anything just a noise. thanks :)

the tps sensor wires suck on our cars! thats prolly the cause.. the wires werent made long enough for it so the get shorts... happens all the time.. extend em or buy the kit to replace it completely with longer wires.

lol! Over reving while you're stopped is unheard of...lol! Nah, I had a huge problem with that not to long ago and mine was pretty bad. Found out it was several things.
1. TPS Sensor Broke
2. IAC Sensor Broke
3. Boost solenoid sensor attached to constant boost by mistake. So the PCM would think I'm constantly boosting when I'm not and dump fuel into the cylinder.

so it is something i need to look into and possible take to a mechanic about? it hasn't done it since that day. i left a bit out though. i had the a/c on pretty high. i tried rolling down my windows cause i know your arnt supposed to run your a/c while stopped but it was too damn hot. dont know if that affected anything but..

lol! Ok, jump in your driver seat. Turn off your Turbo Timer if you have one. Click the ignition key forward(without starting) three times. It should go through an OBDII diagnostics and tell you of any codes your PCM (Performance Control Module) is throwin. In the forms of P**** codes or U...

i did it and nothing happened. you do mean like turn it over until like the radio works and you can roll down the windows right? that and where would the codes pop up? on the milage part of the dash?

Yup, just click it all the way and back 3x. And it will pop up right where you just said where the speedometer shows your mileage.
