The TransGo shift kit supports many of the Dodge truck transmissions including the 46RE. Included in the kit are replacement valves and springs that will allow the tranny to shift firmer, especially the 1-2 shift. The other advantages of the kit are that it allows a gear to be held to any RPM, and also allows downshifting into 1st at any speed and gear.

One of several places to get them is:

Do you know of a web sight for Trans-go?

I need more info.:STY:

The one major problem I have had with my trans is it won't upshift at WOT when it's in 4-lo(MAJOR pain in the A$$ when raceing).

I had it looked at and they told me it's normal on Rams to do that:rolleyes:  .Yeah right I told them right after I paid for them to do nothing but take my truck offroad and floor it.:dunno:.

Maybe I'm just venting but now that my truck is in peices I have to look into it more for peace of mind. :D

I know you don"t run a 4x but do you have any info on a tranfer case rebuild kit?? :STY: :STY:

Whats the average labor charge for installing this kit? I'd like to have firmer shifts, but my truck is new, and I bought the extended 6yr/100Kmi warantee. I have to decide if it is worth it.

You might get some flack from your dealer if you have a warranty issue with the tranny. It would be wise to check first. The shift kit works great, but it has taken some adjusting to get it to shift at WOT on the 1-2 shift. I think it is a worthwhile mod. You might check this website on a Transgo install..............

I've driven Ramrod's SST and the TransGo is a huge improvement over the stock factory tranny. But my Dodge dealer made it clear that if I put one on I would no longer have either the factory or the extended warranty cover any tranny problems. So I will drive it stock and if the tranny ever has problems, the warranty can pay to have it fixed. So far, no problems other than the stock smooth shifts. WOT or almost WOT shifts are OK on my Ram, but not near as good as the TransGo on Ramrod's SST. When my extended warranty is up in 2006, I will put one last mod on The Mighty Dodge - the TransGo.
