First: To answer your question....
Yes!!... A 361 is technically a "Big-Block"!!
Second:
If its a 318... (Which is typical)... But not confirmed...
Post some pics of your engine & interior So we can give you a more "accurate" value of it...
From the pics you posted.... It doesn't look to bad...
But please post some more pics!!! :)

I am looking at buying it, I was just wondering if it was over priced or not at 3k
Its about 7 hours away so I don't feel like making the drive if its not close to that.

That's a Warlock I believe. Looks like it has airbag suspension too maybe? Or is that just an overload setup? If it runs excellent and has no rust, and if it is a original Warlock, I'd try for $2500.

Yeah, I think Speed is right... It does look like an original Warlock (Black with the pinstripping.. Stepside bed and the 'woodgrain' dash...)
I do think 3 grand is too much though.... I'd try to bargain the guy down...
Point out these things....
Paint is SERIOUSLY WORN.
A lot of rust on the passenger side...
Passenger side door looks like it has a huge rust spot..
Dash is shot..
Wood in the bed is wrecked..
Of course the guy is going to say "But it's a WARLOCK!" .... We'll except for the fancy paint and pinstripe from the factory, Extra do-dads on the dash, stepside bed with a wood floor... Other than that, it's no more 'better' than any other run-of-the-mill D-100.
(BTW, Id' check for rust on the floor pans and ELSEWHERE, like on the insides of the fenders..)
And of course, how many miles? How does it run? Tranny OK? Drivetrain? Leaking oil anywhere? Electrical system OK or has it been butchered? All the little persnickities like little 'minor' mechanical things that may turn into a real headache trying to find parts for.....

Don't Warlocks have pinstriping on the interior as well?

Ahh I didn't notice the wood was trashed, that seriously drops the price right there. New wood and hardware for those beds is like 800 bucks or something close.

At least you can get away with pine for the floor, anyway (at least on Lil Reds because the floor was painted). You should only need oak for the side wood. You should be able to do most of the floor wood with just a table saw.

The 318 and 360 motors are small blocks.
The 383, 400 and 440 are big blocks.

The 361 came out in 1958 and was considered a B engine. It had a 3.375" stroke and 4.125 inch bore with wedge heads. It replaced the Firepower engines.

Does not feel like a Warlock...check the tailgate...those were hard to get unless bought on a Warlock and have the words WARLOCK by Dodge. Seems like in the early 80s someone added the chrome sidesteps and dash. The pinstipes shown were very popular on both trucks and vans. My 78 Voyager w/318 had the exact gold pinstripes. If I remember late 76 77 and 78 Warlocks had the S Special in the Vin

Now, did you know that the 361 was available with fuel injection in '58? Only for that year, though.
I really don't know all this stuff. I was just bored at work, so I read up. Wikipedia.org is amazing. :STY:

I don't think it's a Warlock as Warlocks and Warlock IIs had pinstriping on the dash also, though the panel could have been added sometime later. I'm not sure but I don't think you could get a Warlock with a woodgrain dash.
Of course most every stepside I've seen for sale on the 'net is a Warlock or Lil Red.

There was one recently on the local Craigslist for $2k OBO. I don't think it sold though, as it was listed two different times. I really thought about getting it myself but my wife and I already have too many vehicles and I'm looking to add a desiel to the fleet so I can tow the toys!
