Just wanted to let you know that they just flew my wife Helen out in a helicopter to the hospital. She fell in the house, and we think she broke her leg pretty bad. Will not know the extent of the damage until she gets to the hospital.......Ifffffff she ever gets there !!!!!
The helicopter landed on the ranch on the North side of the house, they took her out on a gurney, loaded her up and took off.
The ambulance crew called me and said they were flying her to Lake Havasu, then they called back and said LHC was full, so they were heading for Bullhead City, then about 15 min later they called back and said BHC was full and they were heading for Phoenix. About 30 min later they called and said that they were diverted by a thunderstorm in Phoenix, and that they were headed for Las Vegas...............
Soooooooooooo your guess is as good as mine ??? :D
PLEASE say a little Prayer for her.....
If they took her to Vegas, I may not be around much in the next few days

Howdy,
I was able to talk to Helen, she was still in the emergency room, however she is so heavily sedated, that I couldn't makes heads or tails of what she was saying. I then talked to the Nurse, and she told me that the femur is broken in several places, and that Helen will be going in for surgery tomorrow, or Friday for sure.
I probably will not go to Vegas right away, as there is absolutely nothing I could do for her, and if I can talk to her tomorrow, that will suffice.
I just pray that she is receiving good care, as she can not move (due to her Muscular Dystrophy) to help them in anyway, so I hope they are understanding. Please pray for her, and for God's guidance of her doctors hands during surgery.

Heyyyyy thanks for all the prayers, they work wonders......I'm now in Vegas ! I was told in the beginning that she broke her femur and hip, really had me scared.....However I just talked to the Dr. and he said that it is her knee, and that isn't near as bad on a person 71 years old as the hip would have been......PTL !
They will do surgery tomorrow (Saturday) at 11:00am to repair the knees with a long incision on the side, and some sort of a plate and screws.....I told him to use MOPAR PARTS.......in case the truck ever breaks downand I need some pins and screws :D
Please say a little prayer for her and the Doctors at 11:00am tomorrow.... :huh:

Parson4- God is awesome. Prayer really does work. I'm glad you will be with your wife during surgery. Nothing is impossible with God. Continued prayers for your wife and that the the good Lord will guide the surgeon's hands with no complications.

Well, the surgery went as well as can be expected according to the Doctor. He said that he put a plate in on the very lower part of her femur. He also sid that her bones were very very soft due to the fact she has just been off of Chemo for cancer less than a month. Believe me, she has had enough of Doctors and hospital to last her that is for sure !
When I saw her this morning, she asked me what the Doc said......I told her he said she needed to lose weight !! She said why did he say that, and I said ....well you fell at the ranch in Arizona at exactly 4:20 Wednesday Arizona time, and just when you fell, it knocked down a big BRIDGE in Minnissotta !!!!!!!! :thatfunny
You know what???? I don't look to good wearing a BENT bed pan on my head !!!! :huh: :D :D :D
