Hey vanners. Got home today from Van Nats, in Cortland, Ohio. We had 600 vans through the gates. I had an excellent time there. Met alot of vanners, which I only knew from online. And took a little over 300 pics. I'll post some of the many Dodge vans here. Also, I placed 3rd. in my class, 84-93 mild custom.

Awesome pics Brad...sorry I missed it. Damn!

I see Wayne had the Hurricane drag van there.

in post #9 - I see the rear of that RED van seems to be sealed over, but it still appears to have an opening in the bottom / rear

any more info on that ?

RAM MAN, that van wasn't opened up at all. It does appear as though he shaved almost all the drip rails, except over front door, and welded the upper section of the rear door shut. I really don't know anything else.

You were surely missed there Nate.

Looks also like that red van has an early Ramcharger rear bumper on it as well. This allows the owners to put the license plate where you see it. Neat and clean mod.

I am quite sure I remember passing one of those vans on 77 on Sunday eve. going southbound as we were on our way to Cedar Point! I was a long one!

Thanks for the pictures. Can someone explain to me how the dual axles work. I assume this is done because the vans are made longer. How is that done? Is another van grafted on to the original? I remember seeing a few done like that back in the 70s. Would appreciate information.

Most people start with a maxi-van which has an 18" extension on the ass-end from the factory. The rear-most axle is just a tag axle and is not driven.

My '72 is a maxi.
