stalling

Can enyone tell me what this fault could be.
318 92 van.
now and again when after reving the engine it goes to tickover and stall's.
also after a run on a warm day if you try to start the engine it will only crank no chance of it starting leave 20 mins fires up ok. :gr_patrio

By "tickover", I assume you mean idle.
I would suspect a leaking fuel injector or O-ring. This could cause flooding when the engine is turned off...The fuel system is under pressure so leakage in this area would flood it.
It could be a heat related electrical problem also.

Cheers for that buddy injector seal leaking could be.
have just replaced the cylinder heads and when i removed fuel
lines there was little pressure . Will check them out.
