Motor Question

I was told the motor was non original 318 (no supporting data). Found 07271171 on the block - front - drivers side. Anyone out there that confirm this? Do I need to find any additional information or is that enough. Thanks Again!

Look behind the starter, it'll have the engine size stamped in the block, at the end of a long number.
