The last couple exhaust system replacements I've had done on my truck have been crap (only got three years out of the last one, plus they installed downspouts instead of proper tailpipes out the back), so I'm thinking I'll do the next one myself.

I poked around the internet to see if I could order some decent pipes anywhere and was coming up short. Anybody have a good source?

Is this something I should even consider doing or best left to the pros? Problem is, the last couple pros I went to used garbage parts and did half-assed work.

I would like to use something that would withstand the heinous calcium chloride they dump on the roads here all winter long. Maybe even stainless, although I'm sure the upfront cost is huge. Might be cheaper in the long haul, though...

Summit, Jegs, JC Whitney all have exhaust kits.

yeah i bought a aluminized kit from jc whitney for my 86 ramcharger(10 years ago). i only kept the truck for 2 years after, but the pipes never rusted because of the aluminum coating and they still looked new when i sold it..
