I drove by one the other day, and they actually look good on the road. This one even had the HEMI emblem :D

I'm sorry if I step on some feet, but I hope this becomes one of Dodge's biggest flops so they take a step back and redesign it again so maybe when my D is gettin on in years I'll be able to buy one that I wouldn't be ashamed to be seen in. I still say it looks like a minivan.....that means I think it's ugly as all hell in case you couldn't tell already.

I got on question for you when you go to test drive it, is the key seperate from the keyless entry or are the key and keyless-entry all in one like on the Pacifica? Because in some pre-production pictures it shows the all in one key and keyless, but on the dodge website it shows them seperate.

Damn near looks like a minivan in shape of course its a 4 door but I am not fond of it. I don't see why DC cant keep with the design shown at the Sema shows. Seems like the car companies in general always change something compared to what they show at the shows IMO.
Maybe it would look better with the other hood?

Well folks, back from test drive. A limited that priced in just short of 38.7. Color was champaign. Of course, it was Hemi powered. My feelings after 30 minutes of solo test drive (no salesperson in the vehicle):

Acceleration is just short of what I expected, but wwwaaaayyyyy better than the R/T 5.9. In fact, I think there's slightly more excitement when punching a Ram 1500 Hemi, probably due to rear wheel drive, no weight over the rear wheels, and maybe... just maybe, the 15 HP difference in the two Hemi's.

Sits higher than the old D's, both in appearance and ride. Seeing it in person, it's obvious Dodge put a good amount of Cab Forward thinking into it. Cab Forward really hits you in the face when you pop the hood... the bottom of the windshield nearly covers half the engine. Short hood, deep dash board.

The ride was VERY smooth, tight and quiet, better than I expected. Yet you could tell there was more than a 4.7 under the hood when merging onto Baltimore's beltway. And I don't mean vacuum noise. A very different rumble than that of the 5.9. There's this tow/haul thing going on where the overdrive switch used to be. At first glance, easy to mistake as new wording for the overdrive feature. Well sorta, but there's a lot more going on. It still dis/engages the overdrive, but in addition, gear shifting is performed with a little more authority, the featrue keeps the trans in lower gears longer under heavy acceleration, and it's suppose to prevents excessive up/down shifting when doing hills and such (gear searching).

I gotta tell you, it does look better in person. Honest. Especially when fitted with white letter 265 R65's as opposed to the blackwall 245 R70's. The brochure says chrome wheels are late availability... not so. They're here now. Someone asks about the keys... the key and remote are one unit now. Sub-woofer is nice,... tight bottom, not boomy. 2nd row seats do recline, but not all the way and they still don't adjust for leg room. Third row seating much better.

Any specific questions? I like it.... not quite as much as I hoped I would, but I do like it.

Anybody seen a 2 wheel drive version. How is the ride height
compared to 4wd.

looks like a minivan that got punched in the nose. Maybe it will grow on me. doubt it.

Yeah,

I'm not Stuck on the look of it. I see a bit of the Chevy Trailblazer in it.

Well guys.. now ya know what a Dodge Caravan looks like when it rearends a Dodge Ram.. guess they just named the accident a Durango.. I dont care for it ok and dont know that I will.
I remember when the Ram changed the body style and though umm ok.. so Dodge has invested in Mack Trucks. Now I own one.. I doubt that will happen w/ the Durango.
Just my 2¢

I've seen several on the road and have sat in one (the dealership here leaves them unlocked :D)... they definitely look better in person and in darker colors too!

All in all, I'm impressed so far. I think the styling is "love it or hate it" and it will grow on all of us in time.

The 4wd and 2wd both have the same ride height, which is the same as the 03 D 4x4
