Tranny Question

I have a 1999 Grand caravan with a 3.8L and a 4 speed tranny and as long as i have had it including, a rebuild from the dealer it will not down shift going up hill with the Cruise control on i've had it slow down from 70 to 50 and all it would do is unlock the torque converter and ideas would be helpful.

Sounds like a software issue-- everything in the tranny is controlled by the computer unlike the older ones that respond to load mechanically. I'd have someone check to see if the TCM software is up to date.
