Power windows on 2000 Intrepid

I'm new to the site, and it is proving to be a valuable tool & a wealth of info.
My 2000's driver power window started to seem to catch, and I had to give it a hand in working. It did this for months, then got worse to the point now it is in the up position, and will not function at all. Would this be the motor, or switch, or another issue?
Anyone with this problem out there have any knowledge of it?

Remove the door panel and check for power at the motor. If you have power there, it is a bad motor. If not, its a switch problem. The metal bracket that holds the window glass could be busted too, causing the window to jam.
