Exhaust question

91 voyager 4 speed

Figured out where my noises are coming from. The noise is a scratchy spring like metal on metal noise mostly when going over bumps. Went under the van and the noise is coming from where the exaust hooks onto the exhaust manifild. I think it is the 2 springs or that metal flange that moves when the van goes over bumps. When I move the exhaust back and forth it makes that noise. Is there something wore out causing this or just rust? Anything I can do to get rid of the sound?

There should be two springs/bolts holding the flange onto the manifold. Are they both intact? If not, you can buy new ones at the auto parts store. If they are intact, you can try loosening and coating the inside of the flange with anti-seize compound. That's the only thing that will stand up to the heat.

both spring bolts are intact. hope i can loosen them. thanks for the tip
