Help!!!! brake problem

ok so I have a 2000 dodge grand caravan with a 3.0 liter engine and about 117,000 miles.
My problem is this. when I press on the brakes the lights don't come on. I have checked the brake lights and the fuse both are fine. I don't know what else to check. is there a fuse somewhere else that I have missed? help

There is a brake lamp switch on the pedal, under the dash. It could be bad or mis-adjusted.

I had the same issue at 118000. For me it was the brake switch. The main contact in the switch had broken. I just swapped around a contact that I wasn't using,(no ABS) and voila! It worked. You may want to just go buy a new one, much faster and less headache. All in all just a 10 min. fix.
