I think you should get one,The powdercoat was worth evry dollar(45),Nice lowend(no loss) and strong midrange to shift,Now to PCM flashed,RICK

You didnt notice the lowend lose that others have noted because you also installed the roller rockers as well as a turtle at the same time.

A lot of people talk about a very noticible lose in the low-end torque and a nice increase in the top end horsepower when installing the M-1 intake. The "turtle" was created to help direct the aurflow towards the runners efficently once it has entered the intake and that has solved some of the low-end torque lose problems, but not all of them. The next step(which you have done) to eliminate the torque lose is to swap cams or roller rockers.

The m-1 really isnt one of the first mods people should do. Rick has some exhuast and air intake mods done first so that has also optimized his performance gains with the m-1 as have the mods he made at the same time as the m-1 mod.

Congrats

I have thought a LOT about roller rockers ....

how hard was the installation ?

are they adjustable ?

How often do you expect you will have to adjust them ?

I had the work done for me,They did have problems with the install,Said the Comp. parts are wrong that they couldnt get them right (1.7) so they installed a set of 1.6 (Mopars) and Im shipping the Comp back to Marty (KRC) to see if they where packaged wrong,Marty thinks they had the load wrong(Chinese),When they come back Im installing them and selling the Mopars off,RICK

What' up...

I've got a couple of things...
I've been poking through my old Truckin' magazines dating back to '99. Last night I came across a guy with a Dakota R/T who was claming 450 hp. He had the following...

R/T 5.9L and stock tranny
shaker hood
4 barrel tbody
Duals
JBA headers
some "Crane" parts???

450 hp...? If you upgrade your cam... how much hp would you get (ball park)?

Is it true that if you get an upgraded stall converter you can get as much as a 50 hp increase?? What else do you have to replace if you do this?

upgrading your stall converter will NOT give you 50hp's....as a matter of fact it wont give you any hp's. The stall converter helps you to get the power that your motor is making to the ground as well as helping you lower your ET's in drag racing.

"Crane parts" could anything from a cam to ignition systems but no way he is making 450hp's with just a cam and some ignition parts. He could be running some nitrous but even that usually nets around 345-400 hp's depending on the setup that is already done to the R/T.

The only way he could be getting those kind of numbers would be with a stroker kit(408cid) and possibly some nitrous or a supercharger. Its not happening N/A.
