any idea what this sound is?

91 voyager 3.3 4 speed 135,000 miles

When putting the van into gear and under moderate to hard acceleration you can hear a metallic sound for a split second. Hard to explain. Someone mentioned loose heat shield but I checked and that is not it. I always thought the sound came from the fact that the catalytic converter has been gutted out but the shell is still there and it echos and tings inside the shell. Any suggestions?

Noises are hard to diagnose without actually being there. Where's the metallic sound coming from (approx location)?

sounds are crazy hard to diagnose when you are actually talking to someone. Over the internet it is damn near impossible.
