I used polishing compound, about 2 bucks a can from Autozone. The headlight beam was improved dramatically; more focused and brighter white.

also it helps if you take a toothbrush and really really scrub it, ther is also products out on the market specifically made for cleaning headlights, id do what crash said and go to autozone they most likely have it there and for a resonable price as well.

There are new crystals (plastic lens) available for the Intrepid at either body parts houses or search ebay...

I'm brand new to this site.
I used polishing compound to smooth out the lenses on my headlights, it improved the beam somewhat, however, the reflector is also covered in dust and moisture preventing a good light throw.
I just bought a pair of 'eagle eye' aftermarket headlamps from an ebay seller: Sandman's Auto of Mondovi, WI. He sells only via 'buy it now'. The two lamps including shipping were $63.90. This price is for the lamps only, not including brackets.
I just now found this discussion board to try to find help in dropping these new puppies into my intrepid.
HELP anyone
Thanks,

This is actually the first time that I have heard of these. Are you sure that they match up to the intrepid? Any pics to show us?

I'm not sure if this site will allow me to put a link in, but here it goes:
Check out all three, see the difference in both price, and shipping, it is the combination of the two that ultimately matter.
I'll repost after I mount the puppies & let you know how well they fit, & how nice the light beam really is.

My husband used buffing compound and then I buffed the headlites to get that frosted look off. Finished off with a coat of wax. It really helped.

:) I installed the new crystals (reflector/lens combos) today. Piece of cake. it is the same procedure that you follow to replace the bulb portion of the headlight after a burnout. the difference is night and day, pun intended. I highly recommend this relatively inexpensive fix for those dim ugly lights. see any of the 3 earlier posted links to ebay dealers for the new crystals. By the way, before ordering them online, thinking I could save on the shipping, I shopped around town. NAPA had the same units for $100 each. I paid $38 PLUS the insult of $25 shipping. Still, $63 for being able to see at night is well worth the price.
