Need help finding paint please!

Hey everyone,

I really need help here, I recently started doing body work on my 1997 Plymouth voyager (I think it’s se… it’s base for sure only has power locks) Anyways, it’s a dark green, not to sure what the correct name is but when I went in to my local Canadian tire (yeah I live in Ontario) I used every method possible, but I was unable to find my paint, I tried matching numbers under the hood, I tried using the book they have but all I was able to find was a touch up paint, what I really need is a spray can since I’m doing quite a bit of work. I would REALLY appreciate any advice or ideas on how to find the correct paint, or what it’s called or a code or something! Thanks in advance!

I can post a picture of my van if it would help, but this is a very generic color so I'm sure you all know what it looks like.

I actually checked duplicolor but for some reason the only paint that seems to match is under the year 2001... I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but even that paint is only a touch up can, thanks RickMN but I guess I will need to keep looking because I have somewhat of a big job, touch up is just too small.

If you have the paint code, most parts stores that mix auto paint can mix it and put it in a spray can.

i did some checking, there are two greens in 97 # pg8-forrest green pearl metallic, #pgf-emerald green pearl metallic. plasticote makes an 11oz(#1547) spray can for the pg8 color, but only a 6oz (CC9093)spray for the pgf color.

#PG8= PPG PAINT CODE-5056

#PGF= PPG PAINT CODE-4639

use those numbers at any paint store that carries ppg paint.

Oh thanks A LOT! pg8 is the color code on my van, I was just only able to find it under 2001 and in a touch up, but thanks a lot for your help, I'm going out right now to find the paint, I really appreciate your help, and your fast response!

Its probably the famous "hunter green" color they used on these vans that everyone drove including myself . The paint code is usually under the hood on a tag or on the inside of the drivers door.

Yeah something like that, I still think it's a great looking color, defiantly worth the time and money to fix the rust! looks great!
