'95 Caravan left sliding door won't open

I read somewhere on here, I thought, about someone having a problem with the left sliding door not opening because of the the safety lock on the fuel door. I can't find that post.

The left/driver side sliding door won't open. It acts like it's locked. I can hear the lock mechanism lock and unlock when using the power locks. The doors are manual.

Any suggestions?

So no one knows how to open the left sliding door?

From reading some past posts, it looks like you'll need to take the door panel off to further investigate.
